Anticipatory action for disease outbreaks and epidemics

The Anticipation Hub recently published a new working paper on anticipatory action ahead of disease outbreaks and epidemics. Researched and written by members of the Red Cross Red Crescent Working Group on Anticipatory Action and Health, this also marks the first working paper we have published.

Together with CREWS and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Center, the Anticipation Hub held a side event on “Embracing complexity: comfort or danger zone?” at COP29 on 20 November. The side event focused on embracing complexity, how we need to think in different and flexible ways to make sure early warning translates into early action in conflict settings and looking from national-level to global-level perspectives into system change perspective.

You can find all the latest news for the sector on the Anticipation Hub website.
