A look back at COP28 and a new report mapping anticipatory action in Asia-Pacific

In this newsletter, we look back at the discussions around anticipatory action at COP28, with a special focus on the Loss and Damage Fund, a mechanism for which the anticipatory action community advocated strongly. 

Another recent highlight is the mapping of anticipatory action in the Asia-Pacific region, undertaken by the Asia-Pacific Technical Working Group on Anticipatory Action. Other recent items include a deeper analysis of the adherence of anticipatory action to humanitarian principles and the gaps in the flow of disaster risk financing in Kenya
